Intel HD Graphics 500
A Intel HD Graphics 500 é uma unidade gráfica integrada no processador da geração Apollo Lake (por exemplo, Celeron N3450 e Celeron N3350), que foi anunciada a meados de 2016. A GPU consegue convencer com seu baixo consumo, mas o desempenho somente está no segmento de gama baixa e raramente é suficiente para jogos modernos. Sendo uma configuração parcial da GPU Apollo Lake, a HD Graphics 505 está equipada com apenas 12 Unidades de Execução (EUs) (HD Graphics 505: 18 EUs) rodando com até 650-700 MHz, dependendo do modelo. As especificações técnicas da GPU baseiam-se na arquitetura Gen9 da Intel, que também é utilizada para a série Skylake mais caras.
Devido à falta de memória gráfica dedicada ou cache eDRAM, a HD 505 deve acessar a memória principal via processador (2x 64bit DDR3L-/LPDDR3-1866, LPDDR4-2400).
A HD Graphics 505 deve ser um pouco mais lenta que a antiga GPU HD Graphics (Broadwell), portanto, os jogos modernos (de 2016) dificilmente rodarão fluentemente, nem mesmo com as configurações mais baixas.
O motor de vídeo revisado agora decodifica H.265/HEVC completamente no hardware e, consequentemente, de forma muito mais eficiente que antes. Até três telas podem ser conectadas via DP/eDP ou HDMI (4K provavelmente apenas a 30 Hz via HDMI 1.4).
O TDP de todo o chip Pentium N4200 é de 6 Watts por padrão, portanto, a GPU é utilizada principalmente para netbooks ou portáteis finos (com frequência resfriados de forma passiva). O TDP também pode ser reduzido para 4 Watts, mas isto obviamente afetaria o desempenho.
